India added a record 14,000-plus new Covid-19 cases on Thursday, with big surges in the pandemic in Delhi, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh, among other states. Maharashtra and Delhi recorded their biggest single-day jump in cases, with the former reporting 3,752 fresh infections while the national capital recorded 2,877 cases.
